Goal And Target
GOAL
The aim of Translation and Interpreting Head Department which consists of German Translation and Interpreting Department , Bulgarian Translation and Interpreting Department and English Translation and Interpreting Department is to train prospective translators and young academics who have general culture and are knowledgeable about the past and the present developments of a newly developed one “science of translation”.
TARGET
The aim of Bulgarian Translation and Interpreting Department is to educate students who have first and second language efficiency, are willing to learn new cultures, have the necessary skills to be able to translate and interpret. We expect our students to learn another language very effectively besides Bulgarian (such as English / Russian / German) , to be able to translate and interpret the texts or speeches belong to 2 or 3 languages , to have the necessary field knowledge and to be able to improve their knowledge and skills in their fields. Also we expect our graduates to use their knowledge and skills in both private and public institutions. Our other objectives are to keep our education programme up-to-date in the frame of Bologna Process in European Union , to improve students and teaching staff exchange in the frame of LLF Erasmus, to enable our students and teaching staff to meet their peers , counterparts and colleagues from different countries.
