The Aim of the course:
This course purposes teaching to importance of family and community in terms of family planning, family planning methods and role of nurse in family planning services, causes of infertility in women and the man, innovations of infertility diagnosis and treatment.
Course Content:
This course includes the definition of family planning and the importance of family planning, the history of family planning work in Turkey and in the world, its today and tomorrow, population policies in Turkey and the world ,the problems that occure because of rapid population,benefits of family planning, counseling for family planning, assessment of applicants, IUDs, hormonal contraception methods, barrier methods (condom, diaphragm, spermicide), natural family planning methods (DAP), lactational amenorrhea method (LAM), voluntary surgical sterilization (tubal ligation-vasectomy), contraception in special cases , infertility, ethical and logistical system topics in family planning.
